Introduction

IRP actively reviews emerging AI technologies every month. This month we have been testing Image and Video Creation Tools like Nano Banana, Adobe and LTX Studio. High-quality product images are central to eCommerce conversion and these AI tools make it easier for Merchants to generate and optimise images at scale.

IRP tested several specialist AI platforms to generate additional images, visual variations and videos without the need for costly video editing. Adobe Firefly automated creation of video content from static product images. The effect was convincing in its output - let's look at the results...

Two images were used to create the AI video content using Adobe Firefly AI generation tool. The images were transformed into dynamic video content that simulates movement, adds transitions, highlights key product features and introduces engaging visual storytelling with a high quality, natural looking render.

AI-driven innovations and the competitive landscape are changing quickly, with new solutions emerging and existing platforms improving their offerings. IRP watches this for the most promising tools. We think it is important for Merchants not to over invest at too early a stage. AI moves quickly and better and more cost effective tools will appear - the key is to watch out for the emerging winners established in niches.

The development of AI-generated product imagery and video content is just one example of how these technologies may support the next phase of digital commerce innovation. Tools like Adobe Firefly and LTX Studio have some momentum in the market, but there are many other AI image providers and eventually a few will rise to the top. IRP will continue to watch this space with interest.
