The Service Marketplace Transforms Profits
The True COST of eCommerce SELLING is
PLATFORM FEES + TRAFFIC SPEND
IRP Service Marketplace

IRP Costs Less Than Shopify

IRP costs less and Merchants grow faster - but what makes us different is that the IRP Platform is built to Grow Sales AND Control Traffic Costs. Shopify costs escalate fast & even faster on international sales.  IRP has no hidden fees and outperforms Shopify on the thing that matters most - MERCHANT PROFIT.

IRP v Shopify Selling Fees

Platform Fees Shopify Plan Fee 1.95% Starting at
International Card Fees 5%+ 1.2%+
Domestic Card Fees 1.5%+ 0.5%+
Per Card Transaction 25p 5p
Prices can Increase YES FIXED PRICES
The above data is based on Shopify Advanced Plan and Shopify Payments.  Key to Shopify Rates are "Card Rates Starting at" in their cited costs.  Shopify Payments charges on GMV and takes Fees on all transactions regardless if returned goods or even fraud.  Shopify Payments Card Rates vary by card scheme and start above Shopify quoted online "From Rates".  Shopify applies a 25p transaction fee to all transactions. The exact % cost per an Order varies by average order value, payment scheme type and order currency.  Domestic Rates come in around 2.1%+.  International Card Fee rates can be above 5% on Shopify.  The 5%+ International Fees comes from a FOUR CORE SHOPIFY FEES ON INTERNATIONAL ORDERS as follows: Shopify Payments Card Scheme Rate of 2.5%+, 25p Fee, a "Mid Market" Spot Conversion Fee, a 2% surcharge by Shopify to move money to ther Merchant Payout currency.  The CAN BECOME EIGHT+ FEES ON SHOPIFY INTERNATIONAL ORDERS - a 5th of 1% if Duties Calculator used, a 6th of 1% if Shop Pay was used, a 7th for any App Fees due on sales, an 8th for Plan fee. You could amortise a 9th for Development fees and 10th for Agency fees and so on.  Finally - if the International order is returned - the Merchant will LOSE this 5%+ fee. The main cost problem on Shopify is however TRAFFIC SPEND.  Shopify advocate a 25% CPA as "Good".  This lack of Traffic Spend control is why 80%+ of Shopify Merchants are unprofitable.  Additional VAT of 23% is charged on Shopify Payments in Ireland - as Shopify Payments is domiciled there. Shopify can increase prices with no notice. See "Detailed Information" below.
