Auto Dispatch Orders

You can find this section under Orders > Auto Dispatch Orders in the IRP Admin left navigation menu.

Auto Dispatch allows clients to Automatically Dispatch orders using the Royal Mail and Parcelforce integrations within the IRP.

Auto Dispatch is the most effective, easy-to-use way of administering dispatch through the IRP.

To use this functionality, your Shipping Methods must have the relevant Carrier Integration Type set. Royal Mail Shipping Methods must be set up with the details provided by your Royal Mail account manager. This includes the label creation discussed in detail in the How To: Create and Add a Royal Mail Shipping Label article in the Shipping Methods section. Parcelforce's expressLink API automates the label production procedure for Parcelforce Shipping Methods but the Carrier Integration Type must be set up as normal.

Auto Dispatching Orders adds the Orders to the Collection Manifest. All items added in this way will be collected at the collection time via a collection driver. Please note that collection and payment details should be set up with your Account Manager for the corresponding courier at the client's discretion.

Orders can be Auto dispatched in two ways:

  • By entering a relevant Order ID on OrdersAutoDispatch.aspx.
  • By clicking the Auto Dispatch Order button displayed in a relevant Order on Orders.aspx.

If an Order has a Tracking Code set against it, you can update Parcel Weights or Delete Parcels by clicking the Update Parcel Details button at the top of the OrdersAutoDispatch.aspx page. This opens the OrdersUpdateParcelDetails.aspx page.

Update Parcel Weight

If the Parcel Weight needs to be modified for any reason, follow these steps:

  1. Enter the Tracking Code in the field and press Enter on your keyboard.
    The Order details will be displayed.
  2. You can edit the Postage Weight value by clicking the cursor in the editable field and changing the value. You can also change the measurement unit (Grams/Kilograms) if necessary by selecting the corresponding radio button.
  3. When you have made the change, click the Update button to save the changes you have made.

Delete Parcel

If the Parcel needs to be deleted for any reason, follow these steps:

  1. Enter the Tracking code in the field and press Enter on your keyboard.
  2. Once the Parcel details have loaded, click the Delete button to delete this Parcel.
