Import 301 Redirects

You can find this section under Data Imports/Exports > 301 Redirects in the IRP Admin left navigation menu.

You use this section to import 301 Redirects data in bulk to the IRP. This is one of the most useful features in IRP as it allows you to import large amounts of data effortlessly. All you need to do is complete a template file (in CSV, TSV or Excel format) containing the old 301 redirect URLs (IRP301Redirects_OldUrl) and the corresponding new URLS (IRP301Redirects_NewUrl) and then upload it to the IRP.

The IRP301Redirects_NewUrl column can include placeholders (as described in the 301 Redirects help topic). When present, they will automatically be converted to the corresponding rewritten URL values.

When performing a bulk import of 301 Redirects, any existing Redirects with the same 'Old Url' values can be overwritten with the new values supplied in the import file (you do this using the 'Overwrite Existing Old Urls' setting. If you don't select this option then any existing 'Old URL' values within the import will be excluded from the import.

How to Import 301 Redirects

This section functions similarly to other Data Imports / Exports pages in IRP Admin such as Import Customers, Import Reviews etc. and allows you to download a template import file and then upload and stage the data for mass update or insertion. Please refer to those help topics for details of how to use this section.
