Interface Settings

You can find this section under Application Settings > Interface Settings in the IRP Admin left navigation menu.

You use the Interface Settings section to define settings for banners, baskets, home pages, left, right and top navigation, your mobile website and the models page.

The following settings are available:

SettingDescription
Top Navigation
Tabs Display Style This setting defines the display style of the navigation top tabs (1, 2 or 3):
(1) Tabs will only take up the width that they require and will be centred on the top navigation.
(2) Tabs will display full screen but will appear as separate elements.
(3) Tabs will display full screen and will display as a single connected block of elements.
Note that tabs will display above the product options bar on the top navigation and below the Search bar.
Settings Display Style This setting defines the display style of the customer settings dialogue (either 1 or 2):
(1) Settings will appear as a lightbox when the settings link is clicked from the top navigation.
(2) Settings will appear as a slide-down panel underneath the top row of the top navigation.
Enable Recently Viewed Check this box to display a Recently Viewed link of models that the customer has recently looked at on the website. Note that this depends on the ‘Set Recently Viewed Display Style’ Application Setting - in the example below, this is set to display to the right of the history bar (the breadcrumbs shown on the left of the page (configurable via the setting called 'Show Histroy menu'):
Show History Menu
Logo Stretches To Top Of Page Check this box to make the top logo stretch to the very top of the page and not stop at the settings top row (as it would if you did not check this box).
Enable Brand-Category Drop Down Bar Check this box to display a brands and categories drop-down menu just below the navigation tabs on the website’s top navigation.
Left Navigation
Enable Left Navigation Check this box to display the left navigation menu on pages that it is enabled on throughout the website. This depends on the display style that has been set. Note that you can switch the left navigation on or off on various pages using additional settings.
Display Style Currently there are five display styles for the left navigation menu (1,2,3,5 or 6):
(1) Separate Headers: Sub-Departments and their corresponding categories will be displayed based on their display orders as separate elements on the left side of the page.
(2) Flowing Department Menu: Sub-Departments and categories flow based on their display orders in one block of links.
(3) Brands List: A list of brands available on the website will be displayed alphabetically on the left side of the page.
(5) Collapsible Menu: Category links slide down when the Sub-Department is clicked. Sub-Departments can be collapsed or expanded when clicked.
(6) Free-Form HTML Menu: You can insert HTML to constitute a left side navigation. Note that if you select this option but then don’t insert HTML, a blank gap will be placed where the left side navigation normally shows.
Enable On Basket Page Check this box to display the left side navigation on the basket page. Note that you must also check the ‘Enable Left Navigation’ box.
Enable In Checkout Check this box to display the left side navigation on the checkout pages. Note that you must also check the ‘Enable Left Navigation’ box.
Enable On Home Page Check this box to display the left side navigation on the home page. Note that you must also check the ‘Enable Left Navigation’ box.
Enable On Models Page Check this box to display the left side navigation on the models page. Note that you must also check the ‘Enable Left Navigation’ box.
Enable On News Page Check this box to display the left side navigation on the news page. Note that you must also check the ‘Enable Left Navigation’ box.
Right Navigation
Enable Right Navigation Check this box to display the website’s right side navigation on the home page.
Enable News Element Check this box to display a list of news headlines on the website’s right side navigation. Note that you must also check the ‘Enable Right Navigation’ box.
Enable Poll Element Check this box to display any active polls on the website’s right side navigation on the home page.
Enable Product List Element Check this box to display a generic best seller product list on the website’s right side navigation menu (provided no right nav product list home pages have been added). Note that you must also check the ‘Enable Right Navigation’ box for this product list to appear.
Mobile Site
Enable Mobile Menu Check this box to make a clickable menu available on the mobile version of the website. This menu will contain the department and category structure for the website and allow customers to navigate similarly to how they would do on the full version of the website.
Enable Mobile Menu Offers Link Check this box to display an Offers page link in the mobile menu.
Enable Expandable Mobile Basket Link Check this box to let the mobile basket link open up a control with the basket contents without having to redirect to the basket page.
Enable Mobile Top Settings Link Check this box to display a link to the customer settings in the mobile top navigation.
Enable Mobile Brand Drop Down Check this box to display the brand drop-down menu on all mobile pages. Note that if the mobile menu is disabled then the brand drop-down menu will continue to display on all pages.
Enable Mobile Category Drop Down Check this box to display the category drop-down menu on all mobile pages. Note that if the mobile menu is disabled then the category drop-down menu will continue to display on all pages.
Banners
Enable Brand Banner Selectors Check this box to allow you to select multiple brand banners using selector buttons.
Enable Category Banner Selectors Check this box to allow you to select multiple category banners using selector buttons.
Enable Top Banner Selectors Check this box to allow you to select multiple top banners using selector buttons.
PayPal Button
Desktop PayPal Button Upload a language-dependent PayPal button to display on the Basket and Checkout pages on the Desktop version of the site. Note that this image should be in .gif format. If no Translated version of this button exists for a particular language, the English button will be used as a default.
Mobile PayPal Button Upload a language-dependent PayPal button to display on the Basket and Checkout pages on the Mobile version of the site. Note that this image should be in .png format. If no Translated version of this button exists for a particular language, the English button will be used as a default.
Basket
Enable Basket Link Hover If you check this box, a summary of the customer’s basket contents is displayed when they click the basket link.
Enable Ajax Add To Basket If you check this box, the Buy button will work off an asynchronous AJAX post and not a post back. The effect of enabling this setting is that the customer will not immediately be redirected to the basket page when they click the Buy button; instead they will see a pop-up window that offers them the choice to go to the basket page or to continue shopping.
Home Pages
Enable Home Page Headers If you check this box, home page headers will display on the home page. If you don’t check this box, only the actual home page will appear. Home page headers allow a customer to switch between various home pages on the website’s front-end.
Enable Auto Home Pages If you check this box, home pages are created for countries for which no manual home pages have been set up. Auto home pages generate best-selling products for a given shipping country.
Home Page Number Of Tabs This will determine the number of home page header tabs (and therefore the number of accessible home pages) that will display for customers.
Models Page
Models Page Display Style This setting defines the display style of the models page.
In the ‘Flowing’ layout, the customer buys using a control situated to the right of the model image. Below the model image and this ‘Add to Basket’ control, other elements such as the model’s Description, Also Bought, Recommendations, Reviews, Q+As and Size Charts (if present) will appear.
In the ‘Tabbed’ layout, the customer can buy, view the model’s Description, see Reviews, see Q+As and Size Charts (if present) by clicking on a series of tabs that appear to the right of the model image.
Models Page Tabs Display Style This setting defines the information tabs on the models page.
If you select ‘Integrated with Add to Basket’, the Add to Basket, Description, Reviews, Size Charts, Price Match, Q&A, and Help sections will appear as separate tabs. Note that you can use this only if you have selected ‘Tabbed’ as the ‘Models Page Display Style’.
If you select ‘Below Add to Basket’, the Description, Reviews, Size Charts, Price Match, Q+A and Help sections will appear as separate tabs underneath the model’s Add to Basket control. Note that you can use this when you select either ‘Tabbed’ or ‘Flowing’ as the ‘Models Page Display Style’.

If you make any changes here, click the Update Interface Settings button.
