Stock Takes

How Tos (2)

You can find this section under Stock Control > Stock Takes in the IRP Admin left navigation menu.

You use this section to view details of completed and in-progress stock takes in any of your stock locations. You also use this screen to create new stock takes.

You use stock takes to count all items that are physically present in each location. When you enter the results into the IRP, the location and web stock levels are then automatically readjusted. The IRP also highlights all discrepancies for potential investigation. Note that the accuracy of the stock levels displayed in the IRP, and statistics associated with stock, are largely dependent on how well you maintain your stock level and costs information.

You can use the Search function to find stock takes. Click to expand the Other Options menu from where you can select the stock location, the status of the stock take and the date range:

Stock Take search

  • Stock Location: Select the location from the drop-down list or select 'All Locations'.
  • Status: Select from Open, Scheduled, In Progress, Uncommitted or Completed.
  • From: Use the pop-up calendar to return stock takes from this date onwards.
  • To: Use the pop-up calendar to return stock takes from before this date.

  4. You can record items in several ways:
    • Add Levels Manually: This method allows you to search for, or scan, individual items or large groups of the same item using the Scan Items button. The screen looks like the one in the example above.
After scanning, if necessary you can postpone the stock take until a later date by clicking the Save Stock Take Levels button.
    • Upload Levels: Add the levels using a spreadsheet template. The screen looks like the following example:

In the Download Template File section, click the spreadsheet icon to download the stock take levels template.
After you have filled in the spreadsheet, click the Choose File button in the Upload Populated Template File section and navigate to where you have saved the spreadsheet.
Click the Upload and Import Template File button to upload your data to the IRP.
    • Print Stock Take Products: Use this method to print out the grid contents using the Print Stock Take Products button. You can then write down the levels and enter them manually into the grid in the IRP when you are finished. The screen looks like the following example:
