As we head into a new year, we want to reflect on the year that has passed and lay out our plans for 2018.

New products and services were introduced last year which made the IRP platform more streamlined. These developments helped to improve sales and efficiency and to increase overall performance significantly.

One of the biggest achievements was the launch of IRP V5 — a combination of more than 18 months of engineering work and £1 million R&D investment. IRP V5 included a whole host of improvements that are described here.

Another infrastructure improvement to note was our partnership with P2V Systems to move the IRP onto the Microsoft Azure Cloud. The benefits in terms of speed, resilience and fundamental scalability are significant. All IRPs will be moved onto this new infrastructure by Q3 2018. You can read more about this here.

We are delighted to see that people have been using the IRP App to access core business metrics on the go.

We also recently added the ability to see keynotes from Account Managers and are still making improvements.

Looking Forward To 2018

2018 will see additional development work in many areas. The big areas of focus are INTERFACE and INSIGHTS.

Regarding INTERFACE, Q1 will see developments in mobile site 'look & feel', making it more user friendly. Desktop updates are also planned for Q2. Q3 will see Basket and Checkout updates. This will ensure that the IRP offers a best-of-breed experience to the end customer in addition to lots of flexibility.

On INSIGHTS, we will be launching the IRP Mission Control Centre by Q2. This will bring together world-class Business Intelligence on demand. It will also rapidly highlight anything on IRP websites that slow down sales.

It was great to see the success and participation in IRP training events last year. Alignment is key and with Chris McEldowney as VP Product, we will be continuing with our in-house and online training programme in 2018.

Last year saw major developments for the platform and this year will see the IRP Insights and Interface take central stage. We look forward to working with you in 2018.
