Custom Product Lists

How Tos (2)

You can find this section under Interface & Design > Custom Product Lists in the IRP Admin left navigation menu.

You use this section to create customised product listings and criteria listings which you then add anywhere you want on a Custom Content Page. You can create separate lists for different countries and restrict the lists by brand and by category. You can also configure specific criteria for the lists including year, seasons, gender and offer type.

The main CustomProductLists.aspx screen appears as follows:

Custom Product Lists main screen in IRP Admin

You can use the search bar to find any Custom Product List in the system and if you expand 'Other Options' you can filter by Type — Product List or Criteria.

Once you have created Custom Product Lists you add them to Custom Content Pages using the procedure described in the How To Add or Edit a Custom Content Page help topic.

For more details about Custom Product Lists, see the How To articles in this section.

How To Guides (2)

To add or edit a Custom Product List, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Interface & Design > Custom Product Lists in the IRP Admin left navigation menu.
  2. To add a new list, click the Add New List button at the of the screen.
  3. Select the New Custom Product List option.
  4. To edit an existing Custom Product List click the Edit button to the right of the list that you want to edit.
  5. Fill in the required details below:

    SettingRequiredDescription
    Custom Product List ID
The unique IRP identifier for this Custom Product List, added automatically by the IRP.
Title Enter a title for the Custom Product List, to be used for reference within administration.
Shipping Country Select the shipping country this Custom Product List should display for, or select ‘All Countries’.
  6. Once all the details above have been completed, click the Insert Custom Product List button or the Update Custom Product List button.
  7. Now click the Add Models tab. You will see details of the models in your system, including: ID, Image, Brand, Model Name, Category, Price, RRP, Discount, Active/Inactive, In Stock and Sales Rank.
Note that you can define the specific Position of each model by entering a number in the 'Position' box. You can see the effect of the ordering when you preview the Custom Product List on a Custom Content Page.
  8. Select the models you want to add to the list (or check the 'select all' box at the top of the page) and click the Add Selected Models button. The models that you add will then appear on the tab called Selected Models. All the model details described previously are also shown on this tab. If you subsequently want to remove any of the models shown on this tab, check the relevant Remove boxes (or check the 'select all' box at the top of the page) and then click the Remove Selected Models button. If you want to update the position of any of the models, make the change in the Position box and then click the Update All Models button.

Once you have created Custom Product Lists you can add them to Custom Content Pages. To do this, you simply need to either 1) click the 'Add Product List' button on the Custom Content Page and follow the instructions or, 2) copy the placeholder on the main CustomProductLists.aspx page (for example, $$ProductList1$$) and paste it into the Custom Content Page. (Note that, when customers view a Custom Content Page that includes a Custom Product List containing inactive Models, the inactive Models will not be displayed.) See the Custom Content Pages help topic for more information.
